2/28/2012 The market is a poised to do very well. Inventory is down 27% from last year, and has not been this low since the government was offering tax incentives to buy in 2010. At the current rate of sales, we have 4.6 months of inventory, versus 6 months at this time last year. Sales started out the year strong, weakened a little in January, but we are surprised at how strong the market has been this month. Good homes are attracting a lot of attention and sometimes multiple offers. The news reports are telling us that the medians are down 4% versus last year, but since all real estate is local, the value of your home compared to a year ago is a much more important number, and I would be happy to provide you with the information.
